Travel Requirements for Indonesia Domestic Flight (Java and Bali Islands) Effective from 11 August 2021

During Emergency Mobility Restriction in Indonesia or PPKM, strict domestic travel regulations have been updated since 11 August 2021. The summary is as follows:

WNI (Indonesian):

  1. For travelling inter-Java and Bali Island: Hardcopy of vaccination certificate (at least 1 Vaccination jab) and valid PCR Test showing negative result, maximum 2 x 24 hours prior to departure.
  2. Travelling intra-Java and intra-Bali Island:
  • Hardcopy of Vaccination Certificate (at least 1 Vaccination jab) and valid PCR Test showing negative result, maximum 2 x 24 hours prior to arrival or departure OR
  • Hardcopy of Vaccination Certificate (complete dosage) and valid rapid antigen test, maximum 1 x 24 hours prior to departure.

      4. Children aged below age of 12 years old are not allowed to travel between provinces/ cities/ districts.

      5. Travelers exempted from showing Certification of Vaccination are:

  • Logistic and cargo transportation service providers.
  • Travelers who cannot be vaccinated due to medical condition. They should present the health certificate/letter issued by a doctor (specialist) or similar medical supporting data, stating that the person is unfit for Covid-19 vaccination.

WNA (Foreigner):

  1. For travelling inter-Java and Bali Island: hardcopy of vaccination certificate (at least 1 Vaccination jab) and valid PCR Test showing negative result, maximum 2 x 24 hours prior to departure.
  2. Travelling intra-Java and intra-Bali Island:
  • Hardcopy of Vaccination Certificate (at least 1 Vaccination jab) and valid PCR Test showing negative result, maximum 2 x 24 hours prior to departure OR
  • Hardcopy of Vaccination Certificate (complete dosage) and valid rapid antigen test, maximum 1 x 24 hours prior to departure.

      3. Children aged below age of 12 years old are not allowed to travel between provinces/cities/districts.

      4.Foreigners who cannot be vaccinated due to medical condition, are exempted from showing Covid-19 vaccination certificate. They should present the health       certificate/letter issued by a doctor (specialist) or similar medical supporting data, stating that the person is unfit for Covid-19 vaccination.

       5. Foreigners who flying domestically to reach exit point of international flights leaving for Indonesia are exempted from showing Covid-19 vaccination certificate as        long as they are not exiting the transit Airport.   At the domestic airport, they will need to show the clearance letter issued by local Port Health Office/Authority with        a valid flight itinerary.
