Temporary Restriction to Enter Indonesia for Selected Countries

With Covid-19 new variants emerging, Indonesia has tightened the entry of visitors from selected countries. With effective from 29 November 2021, foreigners from these countries are temporarily prohibited to enter and apply for visas (Visit Visa and Temporary Stay Visa) in Indonesia. The specified countries are:

  1. South Africa
  2. Botswana
  3. Hong Kong
  4. Angola
  5. Zambia
  6. Zimbabwe
  7. Malawi
  8. Mozambique
  9. Namibia
  10. Eswatini
  11. Lesotho

Foreigners who will be attending G20 in Indonesia shall be exempted from this regulation. Indonesia citizens with 14 days travel history to the above countries, shall be subjected to 14 days quarantine when entering Indonesia.

In the meantime, all passengers entering Indonesia will need to comply with 10 days of quarantine, starting 3 December 2021.
